Whether you are looking for a workhorse, an upscale everyday family vehicle or an off-road adventure, the Ford F-150 Lightning has you covered! This award-winning Ford EV is also eligible for a $7,500 tax credit and applicable state plug-in rebates.

The F-150 Lightning is available in four trim choices: Pro, XLT, Lariat, and Platinum.

All Trims are available with two major packages:

1. Max Trailer Tow Package has extra cooling hardware for maximum towing capacity, requiring the 9.6 kW Pro Power Onboard system.

2. Tow Technology Package includes a surround-view camera, heated exterior mirrors, forward parking sensors, Pro Trailer Backup Assist, Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, a trailer brake controller, onboard scales with smart hitch removal, and trailer reverse guidance.

2023 Ford F-150 Lightning Pro

The Pro is a work-oriented model better equipped than other entry-level pickup trucks. The trim has 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, keyless entry, a Class IV trailer hitch, and a power front trunk lid (frunk). The Lightning Pro also has an electronic-locking rear axle, providing additional traction when you want to go off-road and drive on rugged terrain, such as dirt, gravel, mud or snow. The interior features dual-zone automatic climate control, vinyl floors, upholstery, manually adjustable front seats, and heated front seats.

2023 Ford F-150 Lightning XLT

On top of the Pro’s features, the XLT trim has cloth upholstery, carpet flooring, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, power-adjustable pedals, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, under-seat rear storage, an LED light bar, running boards, and a center console with a fold-flat work surface.

The optional XLT Equipment Group has 20-inch wheels, the Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 system, the 9.6 kW Pro Power Onboard system, a heated steering wheel, intelligent access, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, LED box lighting, a power tailgate, a tailgate work surface, and a tailgate step.

2023 Ford F-150 Lightning Lariat

Lariat trim has leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, LED cargo bed lighting, power-folding exterior mirrors, ambient lighting, rain-sensing windshield wipers, 20-inch wheels, and a power-sliding rear window.

Lariat Equipment Group includes Ford Co-Pilot360 Active 2.0 with BlueCruise and Phone As A Key, a twin-panel moonroof, the 80-amp Ford Charge Station Pro, a power tilt-and-telescoping steering column, heated rear seats, rear storage, and all of the features from the Tow Technology Package.

2023 Ford F-150 Lightning Platinum

As the name implies, the Platinum includes high-end features like premium leather upholstery, massaging front seats, heated rear seats, a twin-panel moonroof, aluminum and wood trim, and 22-inch wheels; the Platinum doubles as a luxury truck. It also comes with the Tow Technology Package and Max Trailer Tow Package as standard equipment.

Ford F-150 Lightning work truck with people beside it.

While heavy-duty pickup trucks are still standard tools of the trade for contractors and people who move around equipment, the F-150 Lightning can also become your new family car. Given this electric heavy-duty pickup truck’s fantastic design, convenience and safety features, you, your family and your friends can travel in style and comfort.

Practically Designed for Users

The interior design is so practical and user-friendly. The doors have spaces for keys and phones. There are plenty of drink holders, two glove compartments, a big center console, tons of legroom and headroom. All Lightnings come with a crew cab. An adult can easily sit in the middle back passenger seat with child car seats on either side.

Storage & Workspace

More people means more stuff. You don’t have to worry because you can bring a lot of stuff on the road in an F-150 Lightning. In addition to the truck bed, the F-150 has added storage areas. Flip up the rear seats for functional storage spaces. You’ll also find a fabulous optional hidden lockable storage box that folds out from beneath the floor to stow your valuables.

You also have ample center console space. Ford designers went all out to enable you to even work from your truck. Get this, the gear selector can motor down into a completely flat position, and the top of the console folds out to reveal a big, flat work surface to use, like a desk for working on your laptop and laying out papers.

Mega Space Frunk

This is the actual name of the F-150 Lightning front trunk. If you haven’t seen a frunk yet, it’s a blend of front and truck and refers to storage space in the front of the vehicle. Electric vehicles don’t have combustible engines, so there is open space in the front under the hood. The F-150 Lightning has 14.1 cubic feet of space in the frunk.

To help you envision the roominess, did you know that a 14 cubic foot freezer can hold more than 250 pounds of food? It even has a drainable underfloor, which can double as a food or beverage container. The frunk is large enough to fit two carry-on bags, two golf club sets, and more. If you carry something heavy in the frunk, you can secure it with the four heavy tie-downs in each corner. There are so many ways to use the frunk – you can even use it as a sitting area at your kid’s soccer matches.

Plenty of Power

This is the Ford F-150 Lightning, so the frunk delivers on its Mega-ness with four 120V electrical outlets, USB-a and USB-c ports. You can plug in toaster ovens, air pumps, charge scooters, and electric bikes – the possibilities are endless.

But wait, there is more. The F-150 Lightning Pro turns into a mobile generator with Pro Power Onboard. Pro Power delivers 9.6kW in the bed with four 120V outlets plus one 240V outlet. You also have the ability to customize your range reserve, giving you the control to make sure you have plenty of charge to get back home.

Ford Family Fun & Safety

Since the Lightning is an EV, it provides a smoother, quieter ride. Ford switched out the rear axle with an independent rear suspension to accommodate the electric battery, and you have a nice, quiet ride without the mechanical valves, fans and gears of traditional combustion engines.

Of course, the F-150 Lightning comes with Ford’s impressive safety features like lane keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, blind spot warning and more.

Ford Hybrid Vehicle

The 2023 Ford Escape PHEV is a compelling choice for several reasons, and some exciting updates this year make it an even more appealing option.

1.  Fuel Efficiency: One of the standout reasons to consider the 2023 Ford Escape PHEV is its exceptional fuel efficiency. As a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), it offers the convenience of electric-only driving for short trips and impressive gas mileage for longer journeys. This means you can significantly reduce your fuel consumption and carbon footprint.

2.  Eco-Friendly: As a PHEV, The Escape produces fewer emissions than traditional gasoline-powered vehicles, contributing to cleaner air and a greener planet.

3.  New Features: Ford has given the 2023 Escape SUV a handsome makeover, which includes a new hood, grille, headlamps, and wheel designs. In addition to design refinements, you can expect enhanced technology features and improved safety systems.

4.  Convenient Charging: Charging a PHEV is now easier than ever. Many public charging stations are available, especially in California, and you can also charge the Escape PHEV using a standard electrical outlet at home. The infrastructure support for charging vehicles has matured, which can give you peace of mind when it comes to charging.

5.  Tax Incentives: In Southern California, you may qualify for federal and state tax incentives for purchasing a PHEV. These incentives help offset the initial cost of the vehicle.

6.  Versatile and Spacious: The Escape PHEV retains the versatility and spaciousness of the standard Escape model. You’ll have plenty of room for passengers and cargo, making it a practical choice for daily commuting and weekend adventures.

7.  Advanced Safety Features: When it comes to safety, Ford strives ahead of the competition, with more models receiving a five-star Overall Rating than any other full-line brand. The 2023 Escape PHEV comes with features such as adaptive cruise control, a pre-collision warning system, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, parking sensors, and more to enhance your driving confidence and safety.

Ford Sync Technology console.

Consumer Reports named Ford’s BlueCruise its top-rated active driving assistance system this year. With Ford’s high safety standards and innovative technology, the future of driving isn’t just about electrification. It’s about automation.

Want to keep up with the latest and greatest? Ford’s BlueCruise assistance system can help! Keep reading to find out how!

What Is BlueCruise?

One innovative and most advanced feature of the Ford lineup is the highly-anticipated BlueCruise technology. But what is it exactly?

BlueCruise is an active driving assistance (ADA) system. ADA uses your car’s adaptive cruise control (ACC) to manage speed and lane centering assistance (LCA) to control steering. ACC is the advanced form of cruise control that brakes or accelerates to keep your car a set distance from other vehicles in your lane. While LCA is the steering support to keep your car at or near the center of the lane.

BlueCruise allows for true hands-free driving on prequalified sections of divided highways called Hands-Free Blue Zones that make up over 130,000 miles of North American roads. BlueCruise uses blue lighting on the digital instrument cluster to indicate when you are in a hands-free Blue Zone.

Ford’s BlueCruise continues to evolve with updates sent directly from Ford to ensure you get the best experience, just like the automatic updates on your mobile phone.

What are the Benefits of BlueCruise?

The safety benefits of BlueCruise are paramount. 94% of serious crashes are due to human error; lane assist technology and crash prevention help to save lives and reduce injuries.

Reduces stress

Ford is enabling a new way of collaboratively driving with the technology in your car, making it safer and more comfortable, leading to less stress while driving. BlueCruise can allow drivers to relax their grip and periodically let go of the steering wheel. Your car can maintain a safe distance from other vehicles and can keep you from crossing over a lane into opposing traffic.

Enjoy the scenery

Southern California is one of the most beautiful places in the world! With driving assist technology, you can look at our stunning landscapes, architecture and people. But remember, this is not a substitute for safe driving practices.

Which Ford Models Have BlueCruise?

The 2023 Ford Models with BlueCruise currently available include:

• 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E SUV

• 2023 Ford Expedition

• 2023 Ford F-150

• 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning

Blue Skies Ahead for BlueCruise

Ford’s BlueCruise technology continues to refine the use of sensors, cameras, and radar to detect and respond to your vehicle’s surroundings, providing a safer and more convenient driving experience.

We strive to eliminate human driver error while creating more time and space for what truly matters in life. We hope that in the future, this technology can even improve the mobility of those who cannot currently drive due to age, disability, or other factors.

“I get excited just looking at the key. I can’t wait to see this thing. Welcome back to South Bay Ford. I think this is the video that I’m most excited to do. Why? Because it is the 2023 Ford Bronco Raptor. This is the Beast, this is the one. Let’s take a look at this thing, starting from the exterior. We’re gonna make our way to the end here. Let’s get started.

See, it’s even the little caps here that say ‘Raptor’ around them.

All right, now I gotta show you what’s underneath as well, right? We’ve got a Big Bend right next to it, and you can tell side by side that the Raptor is going to sit taller. One of the things I noticed as I walk around this is that everything is labeled as accessory-ready, which means that you can look these up to see, ‘Okay, there are additional things I can purchase if I want to,’ and you know exactly where they’re going and what else you can do with them. The Raptor logo on the back. Let’s open this up, there’s your back door once again, accessory-ready. You can get grills, etc. for this back door, and then both pop open as you can see.

Those seats will obviously fold down 60/40, featuring an additional 12 volts right here. Then speakers, you have them on both sides, that one over here as well, and then underneath is additional storage as well as your jack and the equipment you’re gonna need to change the tire. On this side, you have more accessory-ready items you can purchase for the back. Let’s jump in. That orange trim on the door as well as up here. Notorious orange stripe for the Raptor. Raptor logo in the seats.

First, press start. The speedometer telling me I don’t have my seat belt. I’m not going anywhere. So standing right here on the steering wheel, here’s your controls. This is your full-size display, touchscreen display. Below that you also have your hard buttons which you can control most of this stuff with. This gives you the third side view just to show you what the vehicle has. It shows me my surroundings. I throw it into reverse, it shows us the back. We cannot move. This also has your heated steering wheel, heated seats, and air conditioning settings, and then your different settings you can control by temperature. And as you move that, it also moves up on the touchscreen. The feature I just noticed, additional charge support up top. Good, now up top we have the removable two separate tops or you can remove everything. All right, let’s hop into the back. So I sit at about 5’10” and I still have plenty of space here. And then just below here we have our different charge ports and then obviously to roll up and down your windows. And that’s not a step. Thank you all right, so what do you think of the 2023 Ford Bronco Raptor Edition? Super hard to find. I’m very happy that we got one here to show you. This is my first time seeing one in person as well. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Thanks for watching South Bay Ford.”

“Welcome back to South Bay Ford! We just got this in, so I really wanted to share it with you. It is a 2023 Ford Ranger SuperCrew 4×4 in Shadow black. This is the XLT model with a 126-inch wheelbase. Alright, let’s kick this one off by giving you an exterior walk around.

Here we have our steering wheel controls, followed by our tachometer. The entertainment system here, touch buttons for control. You can actually control alignment from the touchscreen. Now you’ve also got those climate control buttons down here too. Then, here we have our different settings for two-wheel high, four-wheel high, four-wheel low. All the way in the back, you can see your chargers. And above the touchscreen, you also have this nice pad here called cell phones, etc. Okay, let’s hop in the back.

As you can see, the back seat has plenty of room. I’m about five foot ten, and this was set up for me in the front. I still have room here in the back. The seat actually contours where your knees will reach, so there’s actually more room than it appears. And down below here, you have your different chargers. This has the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine with the electric 10-speed automatic transmission.

So, what do you think of the 2023 Ford Ranger? Let us know in the comments below. If you have any questions, feel free to give us a call or visit us online. Thanks for watching South Bay Ford.”

“All right, so today’s episode is a little bit different. We’ve got this Lightning, and it’s always hard to find these to shoot them for you guys because they sell so fast. This one’s getting charged because we just got it in; we want to make sure it’s charged up. So I’m gonna give you a full tour of the Lightning. Wow, it’s plugged in.

So, you know it’s Lightning I’m showing you here. It is a 2022 F-150 4×4 SuperCrew Lightning, and the optional equipment you’re gonna see on this particular Lightning that I’m showing you is going to have the tow package, the liner trailer tow package, Ford co-pilot, and then the bedliner. So, if you’ve seen our past episodes, you’ll know I start you off with an exterior look. I’m going to give you a full walk around, but yeah, I’m going to start off with the exterior.

Let’s take a look at the interior. Gotta show you this door, got a cool material to it, so it’s not your normal door panel. Seats are super comfortable, very stylish and the material I was showing you on the door runs along on the interior as well. Here are some of your settings right as you walk in.

Okay, so let’s start it up, see what happens. Look how big this screen is. Like I said, this is basically a walkthrough video. I’m not going to go through what everything does, but I will show you some of the cool things that it has here that you can control from this huge touchscreen.

Obviously, there’s no phone attached to it yet. Looks like she’s ready to come off the charger; she’s at 100%.

Here you have your cell phone charger and then your additional plug-in chargers. Above that, we have additional outlets. Cupholders down, additional workspace. Let’s check out the back seat. Along the door, it has that same material. To have an open front seat, similar to sitting here in the back. Down low, we have the additional plugs and chargers, so I’m about five nine, five ten; I have plenty of legroom as you can see, which is nice. And then in the back of the seat, we have an additional storage, kind of a cool feature.

Other than the lights, there you can actually open the hood from here, look at that. Obviously, there’s no motor in here, but hey, storage. Some additional storage underneath, and this part is pretty insane; look at all the plugs you can get in there, it’s awesome. If you need to use the remote to close it, I hit this little button around the back. Here we have the automatic tailgate release.

Yeah, you’re gonna see some of these cool features on a lot of the Fords, not just the Lightning. Comes with the measuring tape in the back here so you can measure things while you’re working and also the push-button release tail step. And then in the back here, you’re going to see that additional liner. Over here, a little bit of anything you’re going to want to plug in, not remote. We’ll also put the tailgate back up.”
