2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid

From its streamlined, drag-reducing design, to a dynamic gas engine and electric motor combination, the 2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid is all about maximizing efficiency without compromising power. New this year is the introduction of Ford's top-tier Platinum trim level available on the Fusion Hybrid.
  • The refreshed 2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid gets some subtle, yet very nice visual improvements, from a faintly reworked grille, more angular headlamps and a revised lower fascia to classier LED taillights incorporating chrome strikethroughs that stretch right across the car’s backside.
  • Additional highlights include a beautifully detailed SmartGauge primary cluster integrating dual 4.2” configurable LCD displays for managing battery replenishment via Brake Coach and employing Engage and Empower modes, while Ford’s growing or falling “Efficiency Leaves” cause you to think about the environmental impact of each trip taken.
  • The Ford Fusion Hybrid is still home to 2.0-liter, Atkinson-cycle engine that makes 144 horsepower and 129 pound-feet of torque. That petrol-powered engine is mated to an 88 kW electric motor and a 1.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Altogether, the Fusion's hybrid powerplant sends 188 combined horsepower in the direction of the front wheels via an electronic continuously variable transmission (eCVT).
  • EPA-estimated fuel efficiency on the 2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid is up to 42 mpg combined, 43 city and 41 mpg hwy. That's a bump up from last year's model in both combined and highway ratings.
